Domain lock is a security layer that prevents your domain name from being transferred to another registrar without your permission.
In this article, we will explain step-by-step how to disable or enable domain lock.
To Disable or Enable Domain Lock:
1- Log in to the Customer Control Panel:
Log in to your Atak Domain customer control panel.
2- Select Your Domain Account:
Click the "My Domains" button in the Atak Domain customer control panel.
Among the listed domains, click the "Manage" button on the row of the domain you want to transfer.
3- Disable or Enable Domain Lock:
In the "One-Click Actions" section, you can disable or enable the domain lock using the green toggle switch next to the "Domain Lock" option. (In this example, the domain lock is enabled.)
Congratulations!
You have successfully disabled or enabled the lock on your domain.
Note:
When the Domain Lock is enabled, your domain is protected against unauthorized transfer attempts.
When the Domain Lock is disabled, your domain becomes vulnerable to transfer actions.
Atak Domain recommends keeping the lock enabled.
