Required Documents for .TR Domain Registration

To apply, it is sufficient to submit one of the documents appropriate for your field of activity.

Required Documents for Commercial Organizations:

  • A 'Certificate of Activity,' 'Trade Registry Certificate,' 'Chamber of Commerce Registration Copy,' or an announcement showing that the trade name was published in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette from the Chamber of Commerce.
  • A 'Trademark Registration Certificate' or 'Trademark Application Certificate' from the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
  • A 'Registration Certificate' or 'Trade Registry Gazette' obtained from the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges.

Personal .TR Domain Application:

If the domain name matches the applicant's identity information, no document is required. However, if the application details do not fully match the identity information, or if there is a technical issue during the connection with the Mernis system, a photocopy of the identity card containing the Turkish Republic ID number or a photocopy of the ID card without the ID number, along with a printed copy showing the Turkish Republic ID number from a web page, is required.

  • Municipalities: A request letter signed by the mayor.
  • Foundations, Associations, and Chambers: 'Association Bylaws,' 'Foundation Charter,' or 'Establishment Law.'
  • Hotels and Resorts: A 'Tourism Operation Certificate' from the Ministry of Tourism.
  • Travel Agencies: A 'Travel Agency Operation Certificate' issued by the Ministry of Tourism.
  • Private Educational Institutions: A 'Private Educational Institutions License' from the Ministry of National Education.
  • TV Programs: A 'TV Screening Certificate' from the Ministry of Culture.
  • Film Titles: A registration certificate from the General Directorate of Copyright and Cinema under the Ministry of Culture.
  • Artists: Membership certificates from relevant professional organizations or associations (e.g., MESAM, SESAM, ÇASOD).
  • Private Hospitals: A 'Private Hospital Opening and Responsible Management License' from the Ministry of Health.
  • Liaison Offices: An 'Liaison Office Opening Certificate' from the General Directorate of Foreign Investments under the Prime Ministry Treasury Undersecretariat.
  • Distributors of Foreign Companies in Turkey: A registration certificate for the applied domain name and an authorization letter, signed and stamped, certifying that the distributor or representative is allowed to use this domain name by the company holding the registration rights.
  • Radio and Television Stations: An official letter from RTÜK showing the allocation of frequencies.
  • Magazines and Newspapers: The original of the 'Magazine/Newspaper' and a 'Periodic Declaration Receipt.'
  • Pharmaceutical Names: A 'Foreign Pharmaceutical Products License.'
  • Farms: A registration certificate from the affiliated agricultural chamber.
  • Ships: A 'Republic of Turkey Ship Certificate.'
  • Fairs: The 'Ministry of Industry and Trade Fair Calendar Announcement' published in the Official Gazette or a 'Fair Permit Letter' from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
  • Special Numbers: A 'Special Service Number Assignment Certificate' from the Turkish Telecommunications Authority.

1) A recent document from the bar association showing the lawyer's registration, or a notarized copy of this document.

3) A document proving that the person is authorized to act on behalf of the law firm or attorney partnership.

Allocated to municipalities listed in the records of the Ministry of the Interior.

A request letter signed by the authorized office of the municipality.

dr.tr

Allocated to medical doctors and doctor partnerships.

1) A notarized copy of the diploma or graduation certificate proving medical doctor status.
2) For doctor partnerships: Notarized copies of diplomas or graduation certificates for each doctor.
3) A document proving that the person is authorized to act on behalf of the individual doctor or doctor partnership.

Allocated to higher education institutions recognized by the Higher Education Council (YÖK).

A request letter signed by the authorized representative of the institution. If the applicant is not a public institution, a document proving that the individual(s) is authorized to act on behalf of the institution is required.

gov.tr

Allocated to public institutions and organizations.

A request letter signed by the authorized official of the applicant institution or organization.

k12.tr

Allocated to pre-school institutions, primary schools, high schools, and equivalent institutions that are affiliated with or approved by the Ministry of National Education (MEB).

A request letter signed by the authorized representative of the institution. If the applicant is not a public institution, a notarized copy of the permit to establish the institution is required. A document proving authorization is also required for applications made by persons authorized to represent the non-public institution.

kep.tr

Allocated to KEPHS authorized by the relevant institution.

A document proving that the person(s) is authorized to act on behalf of the KEPHS.

pol.tr

Allocated to units within the General Directorate of Security (Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü).

A request letter signed by the authorized official of the applying security unit.

tsk.tr

Allocated to units within the Turkish Armed Forces.

A request letter signed by the authorized official of the General Staff.
