Documented .TR Domain Registration For .TR domains, restricted domains can only be registered by submitting the necessary documents.
The required documents should be submitted via your domainnameapi.com reseller panel for companies or individuals registering domains that contain the following words:
For Trademark Registration Certificate Holders:
a) Domain Name Allocation Form (application letter)
b) "Trademark Registration Certificate" or "Trademark Application Certificate" obtained from the Turkish Patent Institute
c) The domain name requested must be exactly the same as the name on the trademark registration certificate.
d) If the trademark owner is an individual, a copy of their ID.
e) If there has been any transfer of rights related to the trademark, the Trademark Transfer Agreement obtained from the Turkish Patent Institute must be submitted.
f) If the trademark registration certificate is under multiple names, copies of IDs for each person, and a signed application form with their names, must be included.
If the domain name applied for exactly matches the applicant's personal information, no further documents are required. However, if the application details do not fully match the personal information, or if there is a technical issue during the connection to the Mernis system, a copy of the applicant’s ID card containing their Turkish Identity Number or a copy of a document from a website showing their Turkish Identity Number (if the ID card does not contain the number) is required.
All domain names requested must be identical to the title in the declaration document. When evaluating the documents submitted by the relevant organization to the ".tr" domain management for domain assignment, the distinguishing and main elements of the brand, trade name, etc., mentioned in the document will be considered. Auxiliary elements like the industry, sector, or other defining aspects of the organization will not be considered as the primary distinguishing element.
For example: "ÖRNEK Textile Investment Import Export Industry Trade Inc." may register the domain names “ornek.com.tr” or “ornektekstil.com.tr.” They cannot register “tekstil.com.tr,” “ithalat.com.tr,” “ihracat.com.tr,” or “ticaret.com.tr.”
Note: One of the documents, other than the domain name allocation form, is sufficient.
